Grades 5-6

Mission

The mission of the 5-6 team is to challenge all of our learners to grow both academically and socially through a cooperative environment.

Intermediate Program

At Achieve Language Academy, each homeroom in the intermediate program has a mix of 5th and 6th grade students to form a learning-filled community.

The students participate in two academic blocks daily - a Language Arts and Social Studies block and a Math and Science block. These classes begin to develop the necessary academic skills that prepare our students for middle school and high school.

Goals

The three major student goals of our team are the following:

1. Use differentiation to meet the needs of each learner
2. Continue to teach literacy skills through all subject areas
3. Emphasize higher level thinking and problem solving skills

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
