Upcoming Hmong New Year Celebration

Hello Parents,

Achieve Language Academy will be hosting a Hmong New Year on November 22, 2022. Hmong class will be singing and dancing for our school to see this year. This event will be during school hours. Achieve Language Academy believes it is important to celebrate this traditional Hmong New Year event with our Hmong students and everyone. 

On the day of the Hmong New Year event, students in Hmong class will wear their traditional clothing to school. We will be doing a fashion show and it is the first activity we will be showing. Students will be provided with props and walk while showing their clothing. The song we will be singing for 1st-4th grade is called, “Nyob Zoo” by Kong and Shu. For 5th-8th grade, they will be singing the song called, “Rov Tuaj Txog” by Jaye Paj. Please have your child practice or listen to the songs as preparation for the show. 

Please remember to send your child to school either wearing their traditional clothing or bring with them to school. Activities we will be doing are:
