Returning Materials/Picking Up Belongings
Families will be able to drop off chromebooks, internet hotspots, library books, musical instruments, and any other school-owned items during the following dates/times:
June 4th 8:00-10:00 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM
June 8th 8:00-10:00 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM
June 11th 8:00-10:00 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM
Meals will also be available during these drop off times. Please pull your car up and wait for a staff member to come to your vehicle. If you are returning a chromebook, please be sure to include the power cord and case (if it came with one).
Car Parade - Come Wave Goodbye!
We are definitely missing our students right now and are sad that we don’t get to say our goodbyes in the usual way. We will be hosting a car parade at the school so families can drive by and wave goodbye to the staff. The event will be on June 9th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Families can drive into the parking lot using the
entrance closest to the church, drive around the parking lot loop, and then exit back onto Stillwater. Please note that this will not be a time to drop off or pick up materials. Families must remain in their vehicles at all times to maintain safe social distancing. We hope to see you!
8th Grade Promotion
We are so proud of our 8th graders and are sad to see them go each year. While we would have loved to be able to hold our annual promotion ceremony, we are unable to due to the pandemic. Students in 8th grade should have already been working on their slide for the slideshow in Ms. Flink’s class. Please encourage them to finish it if they haven’t already. We will be mailing home their promotion certificates and would encourage you to take a photo of them with their certificate. Please send the photos to email@example.com so we can share them with our community. We also hope you join us for the car parade to say goodbye.
We will not be having an in person awards night this year due to the pandemic. Instead, we will be mailing home the award certificates. Your child’s teacher will also be contacting you if your child has received an award.
When your child receives their certificate, we encourage you to take a photo of them holding it and send it back to us. We will be compiling all of the photos into an Awards Night slideshow that we will share with our community. Please email photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Achieve Language Academy will NOT be offering summer school this year. The challenges posed by COVID-19 have made summer school difficult to provide at the same level we have in the past. While we know our students will still have academic needs after distance learning and summer, we will be prepared to meet them where they are when we return to school in the fall. We are hopeful that students and families will
use this time to rest and recharge before school starts again.
We will continue to provide meals throughout the summer for children under the age of 18. Starting June 15th, we will be changing our meal distribution times. Meals will be available 11:00 am-1:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. Families will still drive up to receive 3 days worth of meals and should not enter
the school building to pick up meals.
