The mission of the kindergarten program is to provide a hands-on learning environment in which early learners will experience a positive and productive introduction to school.

Kindergarten Program

Achieve Language Academy's kindergarten is a full-day program where children learn through play, make friends, develop healthy habits, and discover the wonders of school.

The three major student goals of our team are the following:

  1. Provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of the world around them and their place in a learning community

  2. Provide a rich and challenging learning experience that focuses on literacy and math skill development

  3. Provide an open, safe, and friendly atmosphere which encourages active participation

In kindergarten, you can learn how to be a citizen of the WORLD.

Anna Ney

Kindergarten Teacher

I am a graduate of Saint Catherines in Saint Paul and have been in education for over 10 years. I have worked in early childhood and in the primary grades.
I live in Saint Paul with my husband and two children. We enjoy the outdoors (even in Minnesota winters)! Camping is our go-to for family fun in the summer.

I am very happy to be a part of Achieve Language Academy and to work with amazing children!

Kindergarten Teacher

Welcome to kindergarten! I'm excited to be your teacher this year. I can't wait to get to know you, but thought I would share a little bit about me. I grew up not too far from here in South Saint Paul where my passion for education began.

My family enjoys cheering on all our Minnesota sports teams. When I am not at school, I like to spend my time crafting or playing games with my family and friends. I love the fall weather because it is perfect for bonfires and crunching leaves.

Remember this quote by Magda Gerber, "Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child. Earlier is not better."

English Language Development

I’m enjoying my 11th year teaching at Achieve Language Academy. I’m on the Academic Support team and am teaching English Language learners and others in preK and kindergarten. I also enjoy playing the piano for the Middle School Choir and have enjoyed performing concerts with them at many venues, including the Mall of America. At home, I enjoy cooking and doing activities with my daughter who is a college student. I also enjoy biking, reading, playing with our puppy and cat, and attending classical music concerts.
