Dress Code
Uniforms are a requirement for attendance at Achieve Language Academy. THE UNIFORM POLICY WILL BE ENFORCED. All students are required to wear uniforms to school everyday except on Wednesdays (See below for Wednesday guidelines.) If your child is not in the proper uniform every day (except Wednesdays and other designated days) you will be called to bring in a proper uniform and a discipline notice will be sent home. If there are multiple incidents of improper dress, additional measures will be taken including but not limited to removal from class, community services duties in the school, suspension from school, or a parent meeting with the administrator regarding continued attendance at Achieve Language Academy. Please note that removal from class or suspension from school is regarded as an unexcused absence and could be reported as a part of a truancy case to Ramsey County Truancy Intervention Program.

(Special exceptions may be discussed with the school administrator regarding children with special needs, i.e., wearing sweat pants due to physical needs, etc.)

Rubber (non-black) soled shoes are encouraged for the gym and are appropriate for everyday wear. On Wednesday (Free Day) clothing should be appropriate for the active school day. Shorts and skirts should be of appropriate length (minimum of below mid thigh). Oversized pants and shirts are not appropriate. Shirts and blouses should cover the stomach and can not have suggestive or inappropriate decoration or logos. Caps and hats may not be worn indoors except for religious and cultural requirements.

Our students go outside on a daily basis so provide your child with appropriate outdoor clothing. Warm hat, boots and mittens are a must, snow pants are suggested. Please mark all clothing so misplaced items can be returned to your child. An extra set of clothes at school is particularly helpful for some of our youngest students.
